Sorry it's taken me so long to update my blog. We got back from a week long excursion to TN this past Sunday evening. I've been catching up on chores and sleep since then. :)
(I am now officially 29 weeks pregnant and dying to meet my little girl!)
Now on to the update on the exciting happenings in TN.....
Logan, Zeus, and I drove (LOGAN did the driving) through the night last Friday night and got to my parents' house around lunch time on Saturday. We caught up, watched Zeus play with my family's dog, Chigger, and took a nap.
At dinner, my mom's parents, Nana and Papa, and my great-grandmother, Grannie Pon, came to eat with us. As always, Papa and Grannie Pon (his mom) started aggravating each other. We were kidding Grannie about catching another husband (she's had three and has outlived all of them), and Papa made the comment about those men being unlucky. What he MEANT was that they were unlucky to not have had more time with his mom...the way GRANNIE took it was that they were unlucky to have married her! So in retaliation, she turns to my Papa and says, "Ya know, I don't even remember WHO your daddy was!" That's right, folks, and she's 96 years old!!! Those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting my family will now know where I get my smart mouth.
On Sunday and Monday, Logan and I took it easy, went to visit the Holts' pool, and enjoyed being on vacation. I even made dinner for my family that night since it was the first day of school for my mom (teacher) and sister (8th grader).
Tuesday- Logan and I travelled to Nashville to see my dad's parents, Gran and Big-Big. We had a great visit with them then met up with Dave and Christin Ayre (she's expecting in January) and Nate Sensing. The guys are all baseball buddies from college. As always, a meal with Nate keeps everyone entertained, and Christin and I had fun comparing stories about cravings, mood swings, etc that come with pregnancy. Afterwards, Logan, Dave, Christin, and I all went to Gallatin to hang out. We had a blast and can't wait to meet their little bundle of joy!
Wednesday- We went to Murfreesboro to shop and see the "Ugly Truth."
Thursday-We got a tour of the facility where my dad works and got our pictures made by my friend, Allison.
Friday- Logan went to visit his friend, Rob, in Franklin and played golf. My Nana and I went to go to Treasures, our favorite jewelry store. That night, Mom, Dad, MacKenzie, Logan, and I went to see "Hairspray" in Crossville.
Saturday- Emmie's shower! My best friends, Allison and Jill, put on a gorgeous shower at Patch Manor.
We had such a great time, and I can't wait to see them again...most likely in Dec...with our little girl!
